Loyal W. Williams MOUNT PLEASANT –

Loyal W. Williams, 93, of Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, husband of Ruby Rawls Williams, entered into eternal rest Thursday, October 13, 2016.

His funeral service will be held Monday, October 17, 2016, in Ashley River Baptist Church, 1101 Savannah Highway at 11:00 a.m. Interment, Rose Hill Baptist Churchyard at 2:30 p.m. The family will receive friends Monday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service in the church. Loyal was born May 10, 1923, in Georgetown County, South Carolina, son of the late Jacob Wesley Williams and Lula Mae Baxley Williams. He was a member of the U.S. Army Air Corps during WWII. Loyal retired as a district manager for Liberty Life Insurance Company after 42 years and was proud of making the annual conventions. Loyal was a member of Ashley River Baptist Church. He was an avid fisherman and loved to tell “fish stories.” Loyal never met a stranger and will be deeply missed.

He is survived by his wife, Ruby Williams of Mount Pleasant, SC; daughters: Pamela Loesch (John) of Summerville, SC, and Suzanne W. Chesnut of Mount Pleasant, SC; son, Loyal Westley Williams, Jr. (Denise) of Lugoff, SC; six grandchildren: Erik Loesch (Julia), Gregory Loesch, Blair Chesnut, Chamberlain Chesnut, Amanda Hicks (Jason), Tracey Lynch (Chad); three great-grandchildren: Cooper Hicks, Ella Grace Loesch and Kairiann Loesch; sister, Ercell Tyler of Georgetown County, SC; and two brothers: Olin F. Williams of Charleston, SC, and Cecil Williams (Peggy) of Georgetown, SC.
