It is with profound sorrow that the Management and Support staff of Nelson’s Funeral Home, LLC  announce the death of Deacon Walter Monzell Simpson, 64, of Ridgeway, South Carolina. 

Deacon Simpson departed his earthly life Tuesday, September 20, 2016 at Palmetto Health Baptist Hospital, Columbia, South Carolina.  

Funeral services for Deacon Simpson will be held Sunday, September 25, 2016, 2:00 p.m. at Mt. Olive Baptist Church, 4991 Park Road, Ridgeway, SC.  Interment will follow in the church cemetery.  

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday, September 24, 2016, 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.

Deacon Walter Monzell Simpson, 64, of Ridgeway, SC, died Tuesday, September 20, 2016, in Palmetto Health Baptist Hospital.

Funeral service for Deacon Simpson will be held Sunday, September 25, 2016, 2:00 p.m. at Mt. Olive Baptist Church, 4991 Park Road, Ridgeway, SC. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home, Saturday, September 24, 2016, from 6:00 p.m. 8:00 p.m.

His precious memories will always be remembered by his devoted wife of 40 years, Inetta B. Simpson; one son, Justin Montoro (Cynthia) Simpson, one daughter, Nicoshene Simpson; two grandchildren, Jordan Monzell Simpson and Justine Celeste Simpson; his mother, Mrs. David Simpson; five sisters, Mamie Tucker, Inell Colvin, Reatha (Jessie) Samuels, Rebecca Simpson and LaVon Simpson; one brother, Ronnie Simpson; four sisters-in-law and one brother-in-law, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other loving relatives and friends.
