Ruby Bradley Branham Smith was born October 1, 1934 in Elgin, she was the daughter of the late Rufus Bradley and Mary Watts Bradley. After the death of her mother, she was adopted by her grandparents Henry Watts and Mammie Watts.

ELGIN – Funeral service for Ruby Lee Bradley Branham Smith, 81, will be held on Saturday at 11:00 a.m. at Sawney’s Creek Baptist Church with burial to follow in Smyrna United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday 6-8 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home.
Mrs. Smith passed away on Wednesday, July 6, 2016. Born in Elgin, she was the daughter of the late Rufus and Mary Watts Bradley. After the death of her mother, she was adopted by her grandparents Henry Watts and Mammie Watts. Ruby was a member of Sawney’s Creek Baptist Church where she was a Sunday School Teacher and organized the Golden Hearts.
Surviving are her sons, William L. Branham (Martha) of Lugoff, Henry L. Branham (Debbie) of Elgin, David W. Branham (Rhonda) of Ridgeway and Edward Gene Branham (Leslie) of Blythewood, S.C.; sisters, Louise Prevatte of Ridgeway and Madge Hammond of West Columbia; 10 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.
