
Edward Baker PELION – A memorial service to celebrate the life of Vernon Edward Baker, 68, of Pelion, SC, will be held at 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 8, 2016, at Kornegay and Moseley Funeral Home in Columbia, SC. Edward died Saturday, June 4, 2016. He was born in Columbia, SC, the son of the late Vernon Theo Baker and Bessie Mae Winslow Baker. Edward was a great brother and a fabulous father, friend and uncle. He was a graduate of Camden Military Academy and retired from Norfolk Southern Railroad. Edward was a Ft. Motte Hunt Club member and a member of Dentsville Masonic Lodge #398. He loved the outdoor; his passions were fishing and hunting. It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we announce his passing. Edward is survived by his daughters, Connie Baker of Columbia, SC, Amanda Baker-McDonald (Eric) of Columbia, SC, and Dawn Baker-Miller of New York, NY; grandchildren, Scott Hornsby, Stephanie Hornsby, Jackson Brewer, Anna Miller, Pierre Zorn, Diamonte McDonald, Nicholas McDonald, Porsha McDonald and Ericka McDonald; and sisters, Joyce Gantt (Dwight) of Leesville, SC, and Carolyn Adkins of Columbia, SC.
