Doris Outlaw Atkinson HARTSVILLE – Funeral services for Doris Outlaw Atkinson, 75, will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 8, 2016 at Spring Branch Baptist Church. The Rev. Buddy Amerson and the Rev. William Lewis will officiate with burial in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday at Brown-Pennington-Atkins Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Spring Branch Baptist Church, 5106 Middendorf Rd. Hartsville, SC 29550.
Mrs. Atkinson went to be with her Lord on Saturday, June 4, 2016. Born in Darlington Co., SC, she was a daughter of the late James R. Outlaw and the late Eather Gainey Outlaw Parker. She was a member of Spring Branch Baptist Church for over 55 years where she served in various roles through the years. She graduated from the Carolina College of Commerce in Florence, SC. Doris retired from Sonoco Products Company after 35 years of service and was a member of the Old Timers Club. She loved playing the piano and was the church pianist for over 55 years.

Surviving are her husband of nearly 55 years, Reginald Allen Atkinson of Hartsville, SC; son, Stacey Allen (Bettie) Atkinson of Hartsville, SC; daughter, Christi Atkinson (Larry) Johnson of Camden, SC; grandchildren, Danielle Atkinson, Carol Atkinson, Brandy Johnson, Lauren Lamberton, and Courtney Johnson.
