Funeral services to celebrate the life of Annie Jackson Hornsby, 88, of Lugoff will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday April 20, 2016 at Hillcrest Baptist Church with burial to follow in church Cemetery. Rev. Kenneth Jackson will officiate. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service beginning at 1:00 PM in the church. Memorials may be made in Mrs. Hornsby’s memory to Hillcrest Baptist Church, P. O. Box 85 Elgin, SC 29045.

Mrs. Hornsby, widow of Woodrow Tillman Hornsby, died Monday, April 18, 2016. She was born in Blaney and was the daughter of the late John M. C. Jackson and Aurie Crossland Jackson. She was a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church.

Surviving are her daughter, Evelyn H. McKinney(Jeff) of Wateree Lake; a son, Edward “Eddie “Hornsby (Gwen) of Oates, SC; 6 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great-grandchildren; sister, Sarah McCoy Hornsby of Elgin.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to her niece Bobbie Jean Snyder and a close friend Thomasina Williams.

She was predeceased by a grandson, Guy McKinney; a great-grandson, Hunter Hornsby 4 sisters, Frances Branham, Georgia Jackson, Mary Sanders and Elma Stoudmire; 2 brothers, Woodrow Jackson and James Jackson.

Kornegay Funeral Home, Lugoff-Elgin Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
