James Beckley ELGIN – A funeral service to honor the life of James “Jim” Lester Beckley, 88 of Elgin, SC, will be held Friday, April 1, 2016, at 11:00 a.m. at Harvest Baptist Church. Rev. Bill Dulaney will officiate. Burial will follow at 1:00 p.m. in Fort Jackson National Cemetery with military honors. The family will receive friends Thursday, from 5:00-7:00 p.m. March 31, 2016, at Kornegay Funeral Home, Lugoff-Elgin Chapel. Memorials may be made to the Camden Bulldog Club, Camden High School,1022 Ehrenclou Drive, Camden, SC 29020 or Harvest Baptist Church, Missionary Fund, 281 Wildwood Lane, Lugoff, SC 29078. James Beckley died Monday, March 28, 2016. Born in Hocking County, Ohio, he was the son of the late Lester William Beckley and Vera June Horn Beckley. He is survived by his wife, Annetta Louise Cole Beckley, a daughter, Brenda Rothauser (Jerry) of Fishers, IN; sons, Stan Beckley (Becky) of Elgin, SC, James Beckley (Karen) of Palatine, IL; 7 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren. Mr. Beckley was a member of Harvest Baptist Church, a retired lumberyard owner and a veteran of the U.S. Navy. Kornegay Funeral Home, Lugoff-Elgin, is in charge of the arrangements.
