Marlene DeLoach Black was born October 3, 1936 in Thomaston, GA, the daughter of the late George Washington DeLoach and Mattie Lee Wade DeLoach.

Marlene DeLoach Black, 79, of Camden, widow of Juelian Leon Black, Sr., died Monday, January 4, 2016.

Mrs. Black is survived by a daughter, Cindy Melissa Black Perry (Steve) of Columbia, SC; 2 sons, Juelian Leon Black, Jr. (Martha) of Camden and Kenneth Lee Black of Deham Springs, LA; grandchildren; Michael P. Kocke, Jr., Joshua Black, Juelian Leon “Tripp” Black 111, Jamie B. Hall (Thomas), Rebecca Fontenot and Jessica Black and many great-grandchildren; brother Robert DeLoach of Atlanta, GA.

She was predeceased by a sister, Patricia Ann DeLoach.

Kornegay Funeral Home, Camden Chapel is in charge of arrangements.

Marlene was an avid pet lover and request her memorials be made to Thiel-Myers Pet Adoption Center, 128 Black River Road, Camden, SC 29020.

A memorial service was held at 2:00 PM Friday, January 8, 2016 at Kornegay Funeral Home, Camden Chapel. Rev. Todd Horton will officiate. She will be laid to rest in Magnolia Cemetery at Charleston at a later date.

On May 4, 2020, Marlene DeLoach Black was listed as the deceased mother in the obituary of Juelian Leon Black, Jr.
