Aussie Birchmore Goff


Aussie Birchmore Goff was born on April 22, 1932 in Blaney, he was a son of the late Gary Goff and Ruth Goff.


Aussie Goff was was counted in the census on 06 Apr 1940 in Wateree, Kershaw, South Carolina, USA, as a 7 year old, male, single, white, son. Also in the home was his father, Gary Goff; his mother, Ruth Goff; and his siblings, Alberta Goff, Hurley Goff, Dorothy Goff, Dallas Goff, and Gary Goff.

Aussie Birchmore Goff died May 26, 2015 at the age of 83. Mr. Goff retired after 41 years of service from E.I. DuPont. He was a member of the United States Air Force during the Korean Conflict. He enjoyed farming and fishing.

Surviving were his wife of 62 years, Leverda Brown Goff; daughter, Dorinda Marcene Goff “Rene” Lloyd (Mike) of Sumter; son, Kevin Brian Goff of Columbia; grandsons, Micky Lloyd (Leslie) and Matthew Lloyd (Amanda); brothers, Rev. Dallas Goff and Gary Goff, Jr.; and a sister, Betty Miller.

He was predeceased by a daughter, Malinda Runee Goff; a brother, Harley Goff; and sisters, Pauline Goff, Alberta McKinney and Dorothy Bachman.

Funeral services were held Friday, May 29, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at Highway Pentecostal Holiness Church, with burial to follow in the church cemetery. The Rev. Paul Miles officiated. A viewing was held one hour prior to the service at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Men’s Ministries of Highway Pentecostal Holiness Church at 2290 Heath Pond Rd, Elgin, S.C. 29045.
