Helen Watford Spigner, 80, widow of Jack H. Spigner, died Thursday, Feb. 5, 2015, at the Regional Medical Center in Orangeburg.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m., Sunday at First Baptist Church in St. Matthews, with the Rev. Dr. Thomas B. Huggins Jr. and thr Rev. Henry Cooper officiating. Interment will follow in West End Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday evening from 5 to 7 p.m. at Dukes-Harley Funeral Home.
Mrs. Spigner was born in Blaney, a daughter of the late Darion Watford and Fairey Herndon Watford. She was a retired Medical Technician from The Regional Medical Center and the office of Dr. Raymond O’Cain. She was a member of First Baptist Church of St. Matthews.
Mrs. Spigner is survived by a daughter, Sheryl S. Jeffcoat and husband Stan of St. Matthews; two sisters, Dorothy W. Richardson and husband Clyde of Loris and Doris W. Gothburgh of Austell, Georgia; three grandchildren, Jennifer Cartwright, Ashley C. Harris and husband Jordan and Robert Cartwright and wife Regi; and two great-grandchildren.
Friends may call at the residence of Stan and Sheryl Jeffcoat, 288 Cartwright Road, St. Matthews.
