ELGIN – Funeral service for Doris Janet Goff, 84, will be held on Friday at 1:00 p.m. Highway Pentecostal Holiness Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery. The Rev. Paul Miles and the Rev. George Cashwell will officiate. The family will receive friends Thursday 6-8 p.m. at Power Funeral Home.
Mrs. Goff, wife of the late Mendel John Goff, died Wednesday, October 29, 2014. Born on January 1, 1930 in Chester, S.C. she was the daughter of the late John Wooten and Emma Cameron Wooten. She was a member of Highway Pentecostal Holiness Church and the 14 Karat Club. She enjoyed crocheting, sewing, cooking, drawing and reading.
Surviving are her son, Michael W. “Mike” Goff of Elgin; daughters, Vicky Peake (Mike) of Elgin, Pam G. Long (Richard) of Lugoff, and Lynn Hunter (David) of Elgin; sister, Betty Campbell of Elgin; 11 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by a son, Flynn “Bubba” Goff; and a sister, Carolyn Nelson.
