ELGIN – Funeral service for Larry M. Goff, 70, will be held Saturday 3:00 p.m. at Hillcrest Baptist Church with burial to follow in the Goff Cemetery at Hillcrest. The Rev. David Parks will officiate. The family will receive friends Friday 7-9 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home, Lugoff. Memorials may be made to the Gideon’s International.

Mr. Goff died Wednesday, October 3, 2012. Born on December 1, 1941 in Blaney, he was a son of the late Ira O. Goff and Liddie Perry Goff. He retired from Diamond Bort America and owned and operated Larry M. Goff Well Drilling.

Mr. Goff was a devoted Christian and faithful member of Sawney’s Creek Baptist Church. He was also a member of the Gideon’s International. He enjoyed gospel music and was a former member of the Lighthouse Quartet.

Surviving are his wife of 25 years, Joyce Turnipseed Goff; daughter, Donna G. Rollins (Nate) of Elgin; brother, Preston Goff (Laura) of Elgin; sisters, Mary Pate of Camden, Gladys Potter of Elgin, Derice Dehon (Russell) of Columbia, and Patricia Motley of Elgin; grandchildren, Elizabeth Bagwell and Will Rollins (Danielle); great-grandchildren, Ethan Mitchell, Nathan Mitchell, and Logan Mitchell; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by a brother, Bobby G. Goff; and sister, Betty Brazell.
