James Wilson Beasley was born August 18, 1943, in Charleston, SC, to the late Woodrow Wilson Beasley and Gladys Clark Beasley. He earned a B.S. degree from the University of South Carolina where he was a member of Phi Delta Theta fraternity and completed a Master’s in Business Administration from Appalachian State University.

Jim was a lieutenant in the U.S. Army, having served in Viet-nam. He was an elder and devoted member of James Island Christian Church. Jim was a past president of the Rotary Club of St. Johns Parish, a past member of James Island Constituent School Board, and an active member of Full Gospel Businessmen Fellowship International. Jim had a tremendous passion for boating and was designated captain, a U.S. Merchant Marine officer. He was an avid Carolina Gamecock fan. But what he cherished most was sharing his love of the Lord with his family and friends. A perpetual optimist with a wonderful sense of humor, Jim counseled everyone he met and left a legacy of believers in the Lord. He went about his life doing good.
