Frances Juanita Nelson Branham, was born June 26, 1927 in Lugoff, she was the daughter of the late Jesse Nelson and Ruth Price Nelson.

Juanita Nelson Branham, 84, of Elgin,, widow of  Cranshaw Branham Sr.; died Monday, July 18, 2011.

She was a charter member of Hillcrest Baptist Church.

Surviving were her children, Ruth Cooper (Howard), Lucy Cansler, Otis Branham ( Sylvia) all of Elgin, Clara Fenton ( Larry) of Camden, Cranshaw Branham, Jr.( Sherry) of Elgin, Sarah Riley (Bobby) of Elgin; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; brother, J.C. Nelson (Margaret Catoe Nelson) of Westville, SC.

She was predeceased by 2 infant sons, granddaughter, Kelley Cansler; 2 sisters, Mary Miles and Lula McKay.

The family wishes to express a special thank you to Dr. Terry Smith and staff at SCOA, Kershaw Health Hospice and Home Health.

Funeral service was held Thursday, July 21, 2011 at 2:00 PM in Hillcrest Baptist Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery. Rev. Ken Jackson and Rev. George Cashwell will officiate.

The family received friends Wednesday, July 20, 2011 from 6:00 – 8:00 PM at Kornegay Funeral Home, Lugoff-Elgin Chapel.
