Margie Horton Johnson was born in Kershaw Co., she was the daughter of the late Sam Horton and Maggie Gardner Horton.

Margie Horton Johnson, 80, widow of Elmer T. Tommy Johnson died, Sunday, March 6, 2011 in Springs Memorial Hospital, Lancaster.

Mrs. Horton was a member of Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church and a homemaker. She loved spending time with her family and entertaining friends at her home.

Surviving were a daughter; Diane Small (Jackie) and a son Danny Johnson all of Jefferson, 3 grandchildren; Randy Small, April Blackmon, Ashley Deese, 4 great grandchildren; Cheyenne Blackmon, Cassidy Blackmon, Natalie Deese, Colbie Sowell, her brother; Bobby Horton (Myrtle) of Kershaw , her sister; Jessie Mae Thompson of Jefferson and a special friend; Billie Johnson.

She was preceded in death by 3 brothers and 3 sisters.

The family received friends, Monday, March 7, from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m at Baker Funeral Home and other times at the home of her daughter, 5225 Eubanks Rd., Jefferson.

Funeral service were held at 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 8, 2011, in Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The Revs. Terry Corder, Todd Horton and Jackie Jenkins will officiate.
