Earle Alexander Jordan

Earle Alexander Jordan was born June 24, 1916 in Lugoff, he was a son of the late Fletcher McCoy Jordan and Sallie Isabelle Gaskins Jordan.

Earle Alexander Jordan,92, of Lugoff, husband of the late Pearl Ross Jordan, died Tuesday, January 27, 2009.

He operated Jordan’s Shell Station in Lugoff. He was a member of Lugoff First Baptist Church and the Men’s Sunday School Class.

Surviving are his sons and daughters-in-law, Robert E. and Memory Jordan of Lugoff, and Ronald W. and Rose Jordan of Spokane, Washington; sisters, Ethel Vereen and Lois Boulware; grandchildren, Vicki and Donald Hume, Robert D. and Carol Jordan, Edward D. Jordan, and Thomas A. Jordan; great-and grandchildren, Amy Jordan, Alex Jordan, Bradley Jordan, Jonathan Hume, Adam Hume, and Ethan Hume.

He was predeceased by brothers, Paul Jordan and Ralph Jordan; and sisters, Ida Ruth Bodie, Flonnie Kendall, Connie Jacob, Eunice Purkey, and Bernice Jordan.

Funeral service was held Saturday, January 31, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. at Lugoff First Baptist Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery. Rev. Greg Sweet and Dr. Charles Rabon will officiate. The family will receive friends Saturday 12:30 – 2:00 p.m. prior to the service at the church. Memorials may be made to Lugoff First Baptist Church Building Fund.
