Obituary of Ann B Faulkenberry

LAKE WATEREE – Ann Branham Faulkenberry died Saturday, September 13, 2008 at age 63 following a 16 month courageous battle with brain cancer. Mrs. Faulkenberry died at home under the professional care of Hospice of Kershaw County. Family visitation will be from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. on Monday at Powers Funeral Home in Lugoff. A celebration of her life will be held in Liberty Hill Presbyterian Church at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, with burial following at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.

Ann was born in Kershaw County to the late J. Levi Branham and Margaret Miles Branham. Her loving husband, P. Gary Faulkenberry, and two daughters, Kelly Faulkenberry Turner of Acworth, Georgia, and Greta Faulkenberry O’Buch of High Point, NC, provided care and encouragement during her cancer battle with support from many friends, relatives, fellow church members, and Hospice of Kershaw County. She is also survived by four grandchildren, Abigail Reese Turner and Jace Austin Turner, and Aiden Thomas O’Buch and Mackenzie Ann O’Buch. She was predeceased by her sister, Agnes Branham Corbett.

Ann was a Winthrop graduate, and taught elementary education. She later developed an interest in floral work and became a floral designer in Charlotte for many years.

Pallbearers will be Richard Corbett, Joel Corbett, Ray Miles, Ralph Stover, Malcolm Faulkenberry, and Jimmy Bowers. Honorary pallbearers will be Kenny Miles, John Miles, Gerald Stover, Jerry Boykin, Claude Boykin, Paul Faulkenberry, Jordan Faulkenberry, Doug Truesdel, Marc Carroll, Mitch Miller, Ted Glover and Jim Crimmenger.
