Blaney Elementary

Students in Toyna Seay’s fourth-grade class at Blaney Elementary won the Field Day tug-of-war competition. There also were water games, bouncer to play on and test of agility and strength. Here, back of line to front, Shaylyn Anderson, Kaitlyn Fuller, Jamie Stroud, John-Paul Watson, Samantha Cacace, Devin Reeder and Seay.

Blaney Elementary fourth- and fifth-graders donned straw hats and ended the year with a hoedown. Led by principal Lisa Carter and curriculum coach Frank Miller, students learned the Virginia reel. Later families gathered for picnics on the grounds.

Highway Church in Elgin recently honored it graduates.
