LUGOFF — Funeral services for Curtis Harvey Collins, 65, will be held Tuesday, October 23, 2007, at 4:00 p.m. at Lugoff First Baptist Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery. Rev. Greg Sweet, Rev. Joe Stines, and Rev. Dave Robinson will officiate. The family will receive friends Monday, October 22, 2007, from 7:00-8:30 p.m., at Kornegay Funeral Home Camden Chapel. Mr. Collins died Saturday, October 20, 2007. Born in Blaney, he was the son of the late Chester Collins and Frances Davis Collins. He had retired from the DuPont company after 31 years and was a U.S. Navy Vietnam veteran. Mr. Collins was an active member of Lugoff First Baptist Church where he was a former deacon, He also served as a volunteer with the Lugoff Elgin High School Band .
Surviving are his wife, Sara Gordon Collins; daughters, Angela C. Ogburn (Barry Ogburn) of Lugoff and Sandra C. Watson (Vince Watson) of Camden; six grandchildren, Lauren, Austin, Lindsay, Emily, Leah, and Aaron; brothers, Ray Barrett of Elgin, William Collins of Lugoff, Ben Collins of Elgin, and Larry Collins of Elgin.
