Mass of Christian Burial for Theresa Marcoux Allaire, 91, of Camden will be held Monday, September 17, 2007 at 10:00 a. m. at Our Lady Of Perpetual Help Catholic Church with the Rites of Committal in Quaker Cemetery. The Rosary will be recited at 6:00 pm Sunday, September 16 with the visitation following until 8:00 p.m. in Kornegay Funeral Home, Camden Chapel. Memorials may be made to Alzheimer’s Disease & Related Disorders Association-Mid State-SC, P. O. Box 7044, Columbia, SC 29202.
Mrs. Allaire, widow of F. Arthur Allaire, died Thursday, September 13, 2007. Born in Sherbrook, Quebec, Canada, she was the daughter of the late Alexis J. Marcoux and Laura LeClerc Marcoux. She was a graduate of St. Claire Catholic High School in Woonsocket, RI. She was a member of Our Lady Of Perpetual Help Catholic Church. Mrs. Allaire was a member of the 14 Karat Club, Camden Fine Arts Center, Camden Dinner Club, Associate Member of Camden County Club, Our Lady of Perpetual Help Lively Ones & Alter Guild, Kershaw County Health Resource Center, The Arc of the Midlands of South Carolina.
Surviving are her children; Richard A. Allaire of Ridgewood, NJ., Jane Ellen Royer of Lincoln, RI., Judy A. Wilson of Blythewood, SC and Ann E. Allaire of W. Columbia, SC, grandchildren; Diane Amerose of NJ., Christine Implicito of NJ., Suzanne Allaire of NY., David Royer of RI., Stephen Royer, of RI., Amy Bergeron of MA., Margaret Sembos of Columbia, SC., Clay Wilson of Columbia, SC., 11 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a son, Rev. Robert A. Allaire.
