Funeral services for Joyce Faye Kelly Hornsby, 68, will be held Saturday, September 8, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. at Trinity Baptist Church with burial to follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park. Rev. Chuck Everett will officiate. The family will receive friends Friday, September 7, 2007 from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Kornegay Funeral Home Lugoff Elgin Chapel. Memorials may be made to Trinity Baptist Church, 1062 Ridgeway Road, Lugoff, SC 29078.

Mrs. Hornsby, widow of Sgt. First Class W.L. Hornsby, died Thursday, September 6, 2007. Born in Lugoff, she was the daughter of the late Gardner “Shot” Kelly and Lucille Branham Kelly. Mrs. Hornsby was a member of Trinity Baptist Church.

Surviving are a son, Phillip L. Hornsby ( Patricia), of Lugoff; daughters, Cheryl L. Smith ,( Michael), of Lugoff, Rebecca A. Burdette ,( Richard), of Lugoff, and Priscilla A. Moore ,( Keith), of Elgin; grandchildren, Robby & Dennis Hornsby, Amanda Southerland,(Kyle), Caitlin & Jacob Clarke, B.K. & Marie Moore; great grandchildren, Kyler Hardee and Wyatt Hornsby. She was predeceased by a brother, Dennis Ralph Kelly.
