Funeral services for Fred William Anderson, 80, of Camden, will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday, September 5, 2007 at Beaverdam Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Reverend Louie Anderson and Reverend Gene Stokes will officiate. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM Tuesday, September 4, 2007 at Kornegay Funeral Home, Camden Chapel. Memorials may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
Mr. Anderson died Sunday, September 2, 2007. Born in Cassatt, he was the son of the late Ernest Reddick Anderson and Sula James Anderson. A U. S. Army veteran, Mr. Anderson was retired from DuPont and was a member of Beaverdam Baptist Church.
Surviving in addition to his wife, Viola Bowers Anderson, are a son, Leonard Anderson of Camden; grandchildren, Lynn Hunter and her husband, Johnny, of Camden, Chris Anderson and his wife, Kelly, of Camden, great grandson, Jay Hunter; sisters, Kathleen Young of Cassatt and Vera Mae Hinson of Rock Hill; brothers, Ralph Anderson of Lugoff, Roy Anderson of Jacksonville, NC and Reverend Louie Anderson of Aiken. He was pre-deceased by his great grandson, Will Anderson.
