Funeral services for Deloris Jackson Powers, 64, of Lugoff will be held Sunday, April 29 at 2:00 p. m. at El Bethel Faith Community Church with burial to follow in Hardshell Cemetery. Rev. Mrs. Powers, wife of Jesse G. Powers, died Thursday, April 27, 2007. Born in Lugoff, she was the daughter of the late James T. Jackson and Margaret Mattox Jackson. She was a member of El Bethel Faith Community Church.
Surviving are her husband; son, John David O’Cain and his wife Pamela Lynn of Lugoff, step-daughter; Cindy Fowler of Columbia; sisters, Thelma Gates, Jeanette Branham and her husband Sam, Joyce Branham and her husband Mack, Myra Cameron and her husband Paul, Jr. all of Lugoff; brother, Johnny E. Jackson and his wife Alice Kay of Lugoff; grandchildren, Bridget O’Cain, Erica O’Cain and Kayla O’Cain; step –grandchildren, Drew Fowler, Kayla Fowler, Kelsey Fowler; great-grandchildren, Tanner Brown, Ensley Stropes and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother, James M. Jackson.
