Obituary of Brenda Morgan Melton

LUGOFF – Funeral service for Brenda Morgan Melton, 61, formerly of Walhalla, will be held Monday at 2:00 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home with burial to follow in Hard Shell Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday 5-7 p.m. at the funeral home and one hour prior to the service. Memorials may be made to a charity of one’s choice.

Mrs. Melton died Friday, January 19, 2007, after a battle with cancer. Born in Charlotte, N.C., she was the daughter of the late Fred Morgan and Oveline Elliott Morgan.

Surviving are her sons and daughters-in-law, Neal and Regan Causey of Lexington, and Bill and Libby Causey of Lexington; daughter, Nancy of Columbia; special niece, Elisa Hinojosa of Columbia; sister, Frances Lane of Lugoff; brothers and sisters-in-law, Fred and Brenda Morgan of West Columbia, and James R. and Wanda Morgan of Mt. Pleasant; and four grandchildren.
