Eugenia Watford Kirven was born July 4, 1932 in Blaney, South Carolina, a daughter of Darrion Eugene Watford and Fairey Herndon Watford.
ST. MATTHEWS – Eugenia W. Kirven, 74, of 2007 Bridge St., St. Matthews, SC, died Monday morning, October 2, 2006, in Palmetto Health Baptist.
Funeral is 11 a.m. Wednesday, October 4, 2006, at First Baptist Church with Rev. Dr. Thomas B. Huggins officiating. Burial: West End Cemetery.
Mrs. Kirven was born in Blaney, SC, a daughter of the late Darrion Eugene and Fairey Herndon Watford. She was a retired court reporter for the S.C. Industrial Commission. Mrs. Kirven was a member of the Ft. Motte Garden Club and Treasurer of the St. Matthews Garden Club. She was a member of the Calhoun County Chamber of Commerce and Chairperson of the R.I.D.D.E. program. Mrs. Kirven was a member of First Baptist Church and the Sara Webb Sunday School Class. She was very active in the community and her church. Mrs. Kirven was the widow of Samuel E. Kirven.
Survivors: son, Samuel E. (Carol) Kirven II, Columbia; three grandsons, Will, David and Johnathan Kirven, Columbia; three sisters, Mrs. Helen W. Spigner, St. Matthews, Mrs. Doris (Roland) Gothburgh, Florence, Mrs. Dorothy (Clyde) Richardson, Loris.
