ELGIN – Funeral services for Harley Julian Goff, 80, of Elgin will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 22, 2006, at Highway Pentecostal Holiness Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Reverend George Cashwell, Reverend Paul Miles and Reverend Jim Rogers will officiate. The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. Monday, August 21, 2006, at Kornegay Funeral Home, Lugoff-Elgin Chapel.
Mr. Goff died Saturday, August 19, 2006. Born in Blaney, he was the son of the late Gary Arthur Goff and Mary Ruth Hornsby Goff. A U.S. Navy, World War II veteran, Mr. Goff had retired from DuPont after 33 years. He was a member of Highway Pentecostal Holiness Church.
Surviving are his wife, Voncille Jordan Goff of Elgin; his daughters, Margaret Goff of Elgin and Wanda Benton of Lugoff; his son, Tommy Goff of Elgin; his sister, Betty Miller; his brothers, Aussie Goff, Dallas Goff and Gary Goff Jr.; seven grandchildren and 10 great- grandchildren.
He was predeceased by sisters, Pauline Goff, Alberta McKinney and Dorothy Backman.
