On August 19, 1961, E. R. Goff was listed as a living son in the obituary of Charlotte Ross Goff.

On December 4, 1980, Eldred Goff was listed as a living brother in the obituary of Thomas L Goff.

2004

COLUMBIA – Funeral service for Eldred Rudolph Goff, Sr., 75, will be held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at Crescent Hill Baptist Church with burial to follow in Crescent Hill Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Friday at Dunbar Funeral Home, Devine Street Chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Crescent Hill Baptist Church.

After a long and courageous battle with cancer, Mr. Goff died Thursday, October 21, 2004, with his family at the home of his daughter. Born in Blaney, he was the son of the late John Arthur Goff and Charlotte Ross Goff. He retired in 1983 from Southern Bell Telephone Company after 36 years of service. As a faithful member of Crescent Hill Baptist Church, he served on the board of deacons, was an R.A. leader, Sunday School teacher, and held various offices as a class member. Mr. Goff touched the lives of many he met during his journey through life as a wonderful brother, husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He was a 3rd degree Master Mason and 32nd degree Mason with Scottish Rite. All who knew and loved him will truly miss him.

Surviving are his beloved wife of 55 years, Jean Kelly Goff; daughter, Marcie Ann Speer and her husband John Michael Speer of Columbia; son, Eldred Rudolph Goff, Jr of Columbia; sister, Nancy Goff Durst of Aiken; and grandchildren, Kelly Conoly and Stephanie Speer, both of Columbia, Alexander Goff and William Goff, both of Charleston.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Thomas Goff.
