According to the United States census reported on April 22, 1930, William W Price (41), owned a house in Wateree, Kershaw County, South Carolina, with his wife, Emma J Price (32), and their children; Annie R Price (13), James S Price (12), Margarite E Price (9), Howard S Price (7) and Harold A Price (1). All family members were reported to have been born in South Carolina, except for Emma J. Price, who was born in North Carolina. William W Price was a carpenter in general construction.

1940 Census Information:

According to the United States census reported on May 10, 1940, William Price (51), owned a house in Wateree, Kershaw County, South Carolina, with his wife, Emma Jane Price (41), and their children; Anne Price (21), James S Price (20), Margaret Price (18), Haward Price (16), Harold Price (13), Bettie Helen Price (10), June Price (4) and Jill Price (4). All family members were reported to have been born in South Carolina, and lived in the same house on April 1, 1935. William Price was a carpenter in building, Anne Price was in the insurance industry and James S Price was a clerk at a store.

1941

On December 18, 1941, Chalmers Franklin Berry (21) and Margaret Eleanor Price (20) were married in Kershaw County, South Carolina.

COLUMBIA – Services for Margaret Eleanor Price Berry, 82, will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Eastwood Baptist Church with burial in Greenlawn Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to Eastwood Baptist Church or to Gideons International. Dunbar Funeral Home, Devine Street Chapel, is in charge.

Mrs. Berry, wife of the late C. Frank Berry, died Sunday, December 7, 2003. Born in Blaney, she was a daughter of the late William Price and Emma Jane Freeman Price. She was a founding member of Eastwood Baptist Church as well as a member of the Gideons International Auxiliary.

Surviving are sons, W. Frank Berry of Springdale and Fred T. Berry of Columbia; daughter, JoAnne B. Hampton of Chapin; brothers, Rev. Howard S. Price of Columbia and Jack W. Price of Summerville; sisters, Ann Kornrumpf of Columbia and Mrs. Howard Mooneyham (Jill) of Elgin; grandchildren, W. Frank Berry Jr., Mrs. Jeff C. Salter (Jodi), Mrs. Tivis C. Sutherland (Tracy), Mrs. Gregg Steele (Jane), Fred T. Berry Jr., and Amanda H. Berry; great-grandchildren, Grace E. Salter, Caleb A. Berry, Tivis C. Sutherland III and Joshua P. Sutherland.

Pallbearers will be Buddy Price, Gary Mooneyham, Steve Price, Wayne Lail, Bobby Drum and Russell Chambers.
