Ernestine Harriet Branham Jacobs was born February 4, 1934 in Kershaw County, daughter of Nick Branham and Lillie Gerald Branham.

PONTIAC – Funeral services for Mrs. Ernestine Harriet Branham Jacobs, 69, of Pontiac, will be held 3 o’clock Sunday afternoon, November 16, 2003, at Spears Creek Baptist Church, conducted by Pastor Paul Stephens. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Fred Spears, Carl Brazell, Marion Motley, Tony Campbell, Mark Dale and Swayze LeGrand. Honorary pallbearers will be the Senior Adult Sunday School Class of Spears Creek Baptist Church. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 o’clock this (Saturday) evening at Shives Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Spears Creek Baptist Church, 116 Spears Creek Church Lane, Elgin, SC 29045.

Mrs. Jacobs, widow of A.L. Jacobs Jr., died Thursday, November 13, 2003. Born in Kershaw County, she was a daughter of the late Nick Branham and Lillie Gerald Branham. She was a member of Spears Creek Baptist Church and the Senior Adult Sunday School Class. Mrs. Jacobs retired as a secretary from the S.C. Department of Mental Health.

Survivors are daughter, Marilyn Higginbotham; sister, Kathleen Shea; brothers, Floyd Branham and Larry Branham, all of Columbia; grandchildren, Tim Higginbotham of Sarasota, Fla., and Laura Pastor of Summerville; great-grandchildren, Logan Pastor and Jacob Pastor of Summerville.

Mrs. Jacobs was preceded in death by a son, Duane Jacobs.
