Charles Robert Trout Jr. was born in 1945 in Charleston, South Carolina, son of Charles Robert Sr. and Dorma Buce Trout.

LUGOFF – Funeral services for 1st Sgt. Charles Robert Trout Jr., U.S. Army (Ret.), 58, will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 22, 2003, at Rowan Presbyterian Church ARP with burial to follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park. Rev. Phil McCoy will officiate. The family will receive friends from 7-8:30 p.m. Monday, July 21, 2003, at Kornegay Funeral Home, Lugoff-Elgin Chapel. Memorials may be made to Rowan Presbyterian Church Bus Fund, 818 Ridgeway Road, Lugoff, SC 29078.

1st Sgt. Trout died Sunday, July 20, 2003. Born in Charleston, he was the son of the late Charles Robert Sr. and Dorma Buce Trout. 1st Sgt. Trout was a retired U.S. Army veteran and had retired as the owner of Bathcrest of the Midlands. He was a decorated Vietnam veteran, having served two tours in Vietnam and was a recipient of the Bronze Star. He was a member of Rowan Presbyterian Church ARP.

Surviving are his wife, Celie McCaa Trout; one daughter, Virginia Trout Nelson and Cory of Lugoff, S.C.; two grandchildren, Ashley and Robert Nelson of Lugoff, S.C.; three sisters, Mary Trout of Spokane, Washington, Millie Freeman of Charleston, S.C. and Bunnie Edmonds, St. George, S.C. 1st Sgt. Trout was predeceased by one son, Robbie Trout.
