Cranshaw Sparks Branham Sr., 82, of Elgin, died Tuesday, April 22, 2003. He was a self-employed electrician, a U.S. Army veteran and a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church.
Surviving were his wife of 61 years, Juanita Nelson Branham; children, Ruth Branham, Lucy Cansler, Otis Branham and his wife, Sylvia, Cranshaw Branham Jr., Sarah Riley and her husband, Bobby, all of Elgin, Clara Fenton and her husband, Larry, of Camden; 12 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; one great-great- granddaughter.
He was predeceased by brothers, Willie Branham, Mack Branham and Brooks Branham; granddaughter, Kelley Cansler; two infant sons.
Services for were held at 2 p.m., April 24, 2003, at Hillcrest Baptist Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery. The Rev. Kenneth Jackson officiated. Kornegay Funeral Home is in charge. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hillcrest Baptist Church, P.O. Box 85, Elgin, SC 29045 or to Hospice of Kershaw County, 2001 W. DeKalb St., Camden, SC 29020.
