Rita Moore Dorroh, 86, of Columbia,  widow of John Henry Dorroh, died Wednesday, July 5, 2000. She was a member of Rose Hill Presbyterian Church, the Sunday School Class and the Circle. Mrs. Dorroh was retired from the S.C. Department of Social Services.

Surviving are her daughter and son-in-law, Diane and Andy Moak of Elgin; daughter Rita J. Dorroh of Columbia; grandchildren, Mandy Moak Julian of Raleigh, N.C., Andrew Moak II of Elgin, William McDavid Dorroh Jr., John Eugene Dorroh, Virgil Paul Dorroh, April Dawn Dorroh, all of Columbia, Angelica Bernice Dorroh of Albuquerque, N.M.; great-grandchildren, Brooke, Brittany and Kaitlin Dorroh of Columbia, Rebekah Julian of Raleigh. She was predeceased by a son, William McDavid Dorroh.

Services were held at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 8, 2000, at Rose Hill Presbyterian Church. Services will be conducted by the Rev. Mr. Gary Bainton. Family will receive friends at the home of Diane Moak in Elgin. Memorials may be made to the Palmetto Health Hospice, 1400 Pickens St., Columbia, SC, 29201. Shives Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
