Slaughter – Nichols

Laurie Anne Nichols and Jacob Adam Slaughter, both of Lugoff, were married Saturday, January 25, 1998 at Lugoff First Baptist Church. The 6 p.m. ceremony was performed by the Rev. Kenneth Spain. A reception followed at Camden Country Club.

The bride, daughter of Clyde Nichols and Sarah Nichols of Lugoff, is granddaughter of Elizabeth Dinkins of Columbia and the late John R. Dinkins and Lois Nichols of Camden and the late Clyde C. Nichols. She is a 1997 cum laude graduate of Columbia College with a B. A. degree in Elementary Education.

The bridegroom, son of Steven Slaughter and Kathy Slaughter of Lugoff, is the grandson of Ray Rogers of Longs and the late Lois Rogers. He is employed at Roy’s Cabinet Shop in Lugoff and is a senior airman in the U. S. Air Force Reserves.

Attendants were Liz Kelly, matron of honor; Amy Cassady; Stacy Collier; Sandy Russ; Heather Brown; and Paige Slaughter, junior bridesmaid. Groomsmen were Steven Slaughter, best man; Eric Slaughter; Mat Swartzmiller; Paul Melanson; and Scott Nichols.

After a wedding trip to Cancun, the couple will live in Florence.
