Aubrey Faye Ross DuBose


Aubrey Faye Ross was born on 19 Dec 1919 in Elgin, Kershaw, South Carolina, USA as the first child of John Mosby Ross and Alma Elaine Motley Ross.


When she was 21, she married Ernest Franklin “Bill” DuBose on 12 Jun 1941.


On July 21, 1967, Mrs. E. F. DuBose was listed as a living daughter in the obituary of Mrs. John M. Ross.

COLUMBIA – Services for Aubrey Faye Ross DuBose, 77, will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Dunbar Funeral Home, Devin Street Chapel, with burial in Cresent Hill Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 6-8 tonight at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association or to the Alzheimer’s Foundation.

Mrs. DuBose, wife of the late Ernest Franklin “Bill” Dubose, died Friday, January 3, 1997. Born in Blaney, she was a daughter of the late John Mosby Ross and Alma Elaine Motley Ross. She retired in 1982 from Civil Service at Fort Jackson after 25 years. She was a member of Crescent Hill Baptist Church and treasurer of her Sunday school class.

Surviving are sons, Franklin Ross Dubose, Sr., of Columbia and John Adrian DuBose of Irmo; sister, Betty Ross Crosscope of Columbia; and grandchildren, Franklin Ross Dubose, Jr., and Ryan Capers DuBose, both of Columbia.
