Carolyn Joyce Watts Truesdale was born September 1, 1938 in Blaney, South Carolina, the daughter of Robert O Watts and Martha Mae Rabon Watts.

1940 Census Information:

According to United States Census reported on May 13, 1940, Robert C Watts (33) owned a home in Wateree Township, Kershaw, South Carolina, with his wife, Martha Mae Watts (27), and their children; Robert L Watts (7), James Watts (5), Hughey Watts (4), Edward Watts (3), Carolyn Watts (1) and Earle Watts (2 months). All family members reported having been born in South Carolina and lived in the same house on April 1, 1935. Robert C Watts was a laborer in road construction.

1985

On March 3, 1985, Carolyn Truesdale was mentioned as a living daughter in the obituary of Mrs. Robert O. Watts.

1990

On August 27, 1990, Mrs. Carolyn W. Truesdale was listed as the living sister in the obituary of Douglas “Buck” McArthur Watts.

Elgin – Services for Carolyn Watts Truesdale, 57, will be held Monday, January 29, 1996, 4 p.m. at Hillcrest Baptist Church, Rev. Bill Dress and Rev. Tommy Huddleston officiating. Kornegay Funeral Home, Lugoff-Elgin Chapel is in charge. Memorials may be made to Hillcrest Baptist Church Building Fund.

Ms. Truesdale died Jan. 27. Born in Blaney, she was a daughter of the the late Robert O. Watts and Martha Mae Rabon Watts. She retired from Sabre Textron. She was a charter member of Hillcrest Baptist Church, and Joy Sunday School class.

She was predeceased by two brothers, Buck Watts and Huey Watts.

Surviving are daughters, Karen Richardson, Sharon Pharis, Donna Ross, Renee Chappell, all of Elgin, and Angie Wall of Lugoff; son, Robert Truesdale of Lugoff; sisters, Shirley Bench and Wilma Watts, both of Elgin, and Brenda Nash of Blocton, Ala; brothers, Robert Watts of Jefferson, James Watts, Laverne Watts, both of Elgin, Edward Watts, and Earl F. Watts, both of Lugoff; and 12 grandchildren.
