Ollie H Heath

1913

Ollie Heath was born May 10, 1913 in South Carolina to Henry Delano Heath and Arabell Motley Heath.

1920 Census Information:

Ollie first appears on the 1920 Census at the age of 6, living on a family owned farm in household 71, with his father, mother, sisters Mary E Heath,  Janie Marie Heath, and brother Logan in Wateree.

1930 Census Information:

In 1930, according to the census Ollie, now 19,  lived in household 323, with his father, mother, sister Janie Marie Heath, sister in law Susie Heath and nephew Logan B Heath. The family owned their farm house in Watree. Ollie was a laborer on a farm. 

1940 Census Information:

Ollie Heath with brother-in-law; Hollie Thomas Hornsby Sr, sister; Janie Hornsby; and nephews;  Luther E Hornsby, and Hollie Thomas Hornsby Jr.  Owned a Farm House with a reported value of $500.00.

1942

On October 09, 1942 Ollie, enlisted with the Army at Ft. Jackson, he claimed that he his highest level of education was grammar school, he was single without dependents. His civilian occupation was listed as a farm hand.

1947

Ollie was listed as a living nephew to Arite Motley in her obituary.

1950

Ollie was mentioned as the driver of a head on collision that injured his Mrs. Ollie Heath. 

1962

Ollie was listed as an active pallbearers in the funeral of Alpha Thomas Dean.

1968

Ollie was mentioned as a living brother to John Gary Heath in his obituary.

1994

Ollie was mentioned as the living stepfather to Charles P “Sonny” Bowen in his obituary.

Ollie H Heath, 83, of Lexington, died Saturday, December 3, 1994. Services will be held at 3 p.m. Monday at Talbert-Shives Funeral Home, Colonial Chapel, with burial in Woodridge Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 tonight at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Hospice of the Midland of Baptist Medical Center.

An Army Veteran of World War II, he retired as food purchasing agent with Crafts Farrow Hospital and was a member of Agape Baptist Church.

Surviving are his wife, Roxie Bowen Heath; a daughter, Gwen Tidwell of West Columbia; Step daughters, Dorothy Zenoni, Lillian Wilson and Betty Masney, all of Winnsboro and Brenda Hennessee of Columbia; 18 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.

2006

On March 6, 2006, Ollie Heath was mentioned as the deceased grandfather in the obituary of Timothy “Kesay” Brist Shealy, Jr.
