Horace E. Christensen, 87, died Thursday.
Born in St. David, Arizona, he was the son of the late Charles Otto Christensen and Mrs. Eliza Jane Owens Christensen. He was a retired employee of Uniroyal. He was a member, high priest, elder, missionary and home teacher of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Ridgeway Ward.
Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Lula Reynolds Christensen; sons, Heyward S. Christensen of Ridgeway, Charles F. Christensen of Myrtle Beach and Hazel H. Christensen of St. Petersburg, Fla; daughters, Mrs. Alice L. Branham of Elgin and Mrs. Marjorie A. Peake of Rock Hill; a stepson, Willie Reynolds of Blythewood; stepdaughters, Mrs. Elma Hornsby and Mrs. Christine Barfield of Winnsboro and Mrs. Lana Dinkins and Mrs. Willette Chavis of Ridgeway; grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at 5 p.m. today at Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
