Leroy Raymond Stanley, 73, of Route 3, Gaston, died Saturday, June 13, 1987.

Born September 24, 1913 in Blaney, he was a son of Mrs. Kate Hayes Stanley Dixon and the late Raymond Stanley. He was a self-employed contractor, and Army veteran of World War II and a member of First Baptist Church of West Columbia.

Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Patricia J. Gamble of West Columbia; a son, William R. Stanley of WEst Columbia; his mother of West Columbia; a sister, Mrs. Mary Edwards of Columbia; a sister, Mrs. Mary Edwards of Columbia; grandchildren; and great-grandchildren.

Services will be held at 3 p.m. today in Greenlawn Memorial Park, conducted by the Rev. Dr. Bruce Newby.

Pallbearers will be Billy R. Outlaw, Jr. and Michael R. Outlaw, Wille Green, Paul Cupstid and Johnny Cupstid and Ronnie L. Edwards.

Thompson Funeral Home of West Columbia is in charge.
