Mrs. Annie Ruth Davis Hutchinson, 79, of Kershaw, widow of Herbert Nathaniel Hutchinson, died Monday, June 8, 1987.

Born in Kershaw County, She was a daughter of the late Charles Edward Davis and Winifred Emeline Knight Davis.

She was a member of First Baptist Church and a retired school teacher, having taught for 40 years in Blaney, Barron-DeKalb, West Columbia and Kershaw schools.

Surviving are stepson, H. N. Hutchinson of Camden, Luther Hutchinson of Summerville and James Hutchinson of Gastonia, N. C; step-daughters, Mrs. Margaret Cromer of Summerville and Mrs. Phyllis Bray of Beaufort; and brothers, Dr. John T. Davis of Walhalla and the Rev. Len E. Davis of Richmond, Va.

Services were held at 4 p.m. today at First Baptist Church, with burial in Kershaw City Cemetery.

Cauthen Funeral Home, Kershaw Chapel, was in charge.
