The engagement of Deborah Lynn Edgerton and Walter Augustus Harrell Jr., both of Elgin, is announced by her parents. She is the daughter of Mrs. Harriette Dill Edgerton of Elgin and WIlliam Lawrence Edgerton of Camden. The bridegroom-elect is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Augustus Harrell of Elgin.

The wedding is planned for September 20 at Blaney Baptist Church, Elgin.
