According to the United States Census recorded on January 29, 1920, John K Smith (40), owned a home in Kershaw, South Carolina with his wife, Lila Smith (28) and their son, Henry Smith (7). All household members were born in South Carolina; John K was a farmer.

1940 Census Information:

According to the United States Census recorded on May 12, 1940, James Bert Skipper (52) rented a home in Blaney, Kershaw, South Carolina with his wife, Lila Boykin Skipper (45). All household members were born in South Carolina; it was reported that on April 1, 1935, James Bert lived in Columbia, Richland, South Carolina and Lila Boykin lived in Rural, Kershaw County. James was a manager of a filling station.

1947

On April 7, 1947, Mrs. Lila B. Skipper was listed as the living wife in the obituary of James B Skipper.

1983

Mrs. Lila Boykin Graddick, 91, of Elgin, wife of William H. Graddick died Thursday, June 2, 1983.

Born in Lugoff, she was a daughter of Henry F. Boykin and Nell Frye Boykin.

Surviving are her husband: sisters, Mrs. O.R.S. Pool of Columbia and Mrs. Martha Rose of Elgin; brothers, Clyde Boykin of Lugoff and Erwin Boykin of Charlotte, and grandchildren.

Kornegay Funeral Home, Camden, is in charge.

Funeral Services will be held at 4 p.m. June 4, 1983 at Blaney Baptist Church.
