Cordell Scott, 66, of Route 3, Elgin, died yesterday in Kershaw County Hospital.
Funeral plans will be announced by the Dunbar Funeral Home, Devin Street chapel.
Services will be held at 3.p.m. Saturday at Dunbar Funeral Home, Devin Street chapel. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Park, with full military honors.
Mr. Scott, a retired Air Force master sergeant was born in Walling, Tenn., son of the Rev. Nathaniel Scott and Nancy Bowdin Scott.
Retiring after 24 years’ service, he was associated with Columbia Products, Division of Shakespeare Co. He was a member of Blaney Baptist Church.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Louise Cook Scott; two daughters, Mrs. Ellen Givens of Sacramento, Calif., and Mrs. Linda Whitlock of Raleigh, N. C.; three sons, Dr. Cordell Scott II, Cherryville, N. C.; Robert Scott of Atlanta and Larry Scott of Columbia; six grandchildren; four sisters, Mrs. Irene Smith of Kernersville, N. C., Mrs. Ovalee Wiser of McMinnville, Tenn., Mrs. Pearl Woods of Walling and Mrs. Lurene Campbell of Spartanburg; four brothers, Willie Scott, Cookeville, Tenn., Roy Scott of Sterling, Va., Estelle Scott of Michigan and Earl Scott of Detroit.
