BLANEY – Aggi Kendrick of Canada turned in the top time during Friday qualifying runs for the NHRA points meet at Blaney Drag strip with a 235 mph run in the jet car division.

About 250 cars were on hand Friday and another 200 are expected today for the meet. Activity is scheduled all day with eliminations beginning at 7 p.m.

Scott Finlay, an 18-year-old from Miami, topped the alcohol dragster class with a 197 mph run and Allen Gunter turned the quarter in 140 mph in the competition eliminator class.
