Blaney Baptist Church in Elgin was the scene of the 7:30 p.m. Saturday wedding of Miss Evelyn Lynn Branham and John Christopher Boykin. The Rev. Bill Yown officiated, and a reception was held at the Family Life Center of the church.

The bride, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Richard G. Branham of Lugoff, was graduated from Lugoff Elgin High School and is an art major at the University of South Carolina. She was a little sister of Phi Kappa Sigma fraternity.

The bridegroom, son of Mrs. John Corbett Boykin jr. and the late Mr. Boykin of Camden, was graduated from Camden High School and received a B.S. degree in health and physical education from USC, where he was a member of Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity. He is employed by Kershaw County School District as a teacher at Lugoff-Elgin Middle School. He is also pursuing his master’s degree in health research.
