FIRST CHRISTIAN CHURCH, (Disciples of Christ) will observe “Christmas Eve through the Ages” Monday at 7:30 p.m.

Included will be excerpts from Christmas Eve services as conducted in the fifth and ninth centuries, following the Reformation, the first service in American, one from a century ago and other modern observance.

At the conclusion of the program, Communion will be served.

The Rev. John M. Bennett is minister of the church which is located at 2062 Beltline Blvd.

SHANDON UNITED METHODIST CHURCH, 3407 Devine St., has scheduled a Christmas Eve Family Worship Service at 7 p.m.Live characters will portray “A Journey to Bethlehem” with a candlelight service ending outdoors around the manager.

A Communion Service is to be held at 11:15 p.m.

CHRIST, THE KING LUTHERAN CHURCH, 7239 Patterson Road, will have a Christmas Eve Service Monday at 7 p.m.

The candlelight communion service will feature the Quempas Carol and “The Christmas Story in Art.” a National Gallery of Art slide and cassette presentation of Christ from the Annunciation to the Flight into Egypt as depicted in paintings by Italian and Flemish masters.

REHOBOTH UNITED METHODIST CHURCH will have a Candlelighting Service tomorrow at 7:30 p.m.

The Rev. Ron Pettit is pastor of the church which is located in Dentsville.

The church school children of ALL SAINTS’ EPISCOPAL CHURCH, 1001 Twelfth St. Cayce, will present a Christmas pageant tomorrow preceded by a covered dish supper.

The traditional Virgil of Christmas will begin Monday at 11 p.m. with a sermon and service of Holy Eucharist celebrated by the rector, the Rev. George Bull Salley.

The youth of ST. PETER BAPTIST CHURCH, Irmo, will present the Christmas story, “Born In A Stable.” tomorrow at 7:30 p.m.

RESURRECTION LUTHERAN CHURCH has scheduled a special candlelight worship service Monday at 8 p.m., featuring carols and reading to present the Christmas story.

Nursery facilities will be available.

ST. PAUL’S LUTHERAN CHURCH will have a Christmas Eve Holy Communion at 4 p.m. and a cantata. “An Appalachian Nativity,” at 10 p.m., followed by a Festival Holy Communion at 10:30 p.m.

CAPITOL VIEW BAPTIST CHURCH, 1540 Elmtree Road, will present a cantata. “The Colors of Christmas” tomorrow at 7:30 p.m.

A Candlelight service will follow.

GOOD SHEPHERD LUTHERAN CHURCH, 3909 Forest Drive, has scheduled a Christmas Carol and Candlelight service Monday at 7 p.m.

Holy Communion will be held at 11:15 p.m. There will also be special music at this service.

A play, “The Gift” will be presented tomorrow at 7:30 p.m. at the METROPOLITAN BAPTIST TABERNACLE in West Columbia.

NORTH TRENHOLM BAPTIST CHURCH has scheduled a Christmas Communion Service tomorrow at 5 p.m.

The “Judean Hills” tableau will be shown from 6:30 – 10 p.m.

FIRST PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH has scheduled a service for Monday at 6 p.m.

BLANEY BAPTIST CHURCH of Elgin will have a candlelight service Monday at 11 p.m.

The title of the mediation will be “What Ever Happened to the Prince of Peace?”

SAINT LUKE’S will have a celebration of the Eucharist at 5:30 p.m. Monday, Christmas Eve, and a second service at 10 a.m. Christmas Day.

A Christmas Service for children will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, the Feast of the Holy Innocents, at the church.
