Phagie Sanders Vaughan


Phagie Sanders Vaughan was born April 29, 1914 in Blaney, South Carolina, the daughter of Ernest Sanders and Sallie Irene Albert Sanders.


Funeral Services for Mrs. Charles H. Vaughan will be held at 2 p.m. tomorrow, November 30, 1979 in Souls Harbor Full Gospel Church, conducted by the Rev. Samson Chavis, Burial will be in Crescent Hill Memorial Gardens.

Pallbearers will be Tony Bonds, Jack Bonds, George Shatto Jr., Steve Cory, George E. Bond, and Larry Chavis.

The casket will be at the residence until an hour prior to services. Mrs. Vaughan, 65, the former Phagie Sanders, of Sandfield Road, Blythewood, died Tuesday, November 27, 1979 in Richland Memorial Hospital.

Born in Blaney, she was a daughter of the late Earnest Sanders and Sallie Irene Albert Sanders. She was a member of Souls Harbor Full Gospel Church.

Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Betty Derosa of Blythewood and Mrs. Given Shatto of North Branford, Conn.; a son, Harold Bonds of West Columbia; a sister, Mrs. Jessie Obenchin of Great Falls; three brothers, Douglas W. Sanders of Chesapeake, Va., Elbert D. Sanders of Columbia and Robert C. Sanders of North Augusta; and seven grandchildren.
