ABC May Decide Today On Elgin Beer License

The Alcohol Beverage Control Commission is expected to decide today whether it will allow a business in Elgin to have a beer and wine license.

Lacy Williams applied last week for the license to sell beer and wine to be consumed.

The license was opposed by Elgin Mayor James Suggs, the Rev. James Salter, pastor of Blaney Baptist Church and Curtis Pierce, Elgin’s part time policemen.
