According to the United States census reported on April 7, 1930, Willie Farmer (43) rented a home in Pontiac, Richland County, South Carolina with his wife, Lillie Farmer (45). They reported having been first married for him at 23 and her at 15. Also in the home was his step-children; P Oscar Roberts (21), Leeroy K Roberts (21), Edna M Roberts (12), Lillian Roberts (9) and Eddie B Roberts (6). All family members were reported to have been born in South Carolina. Willie was a farmer on a general farm; P Oscar Roberts and Leeroy K Roberts were both laborers on the farm.

Oscar Pete Roberts of Columbia died Wednesday, December 20, 1978 in a Columbia hospital.
Funeral services for Oscar P. Roberts will be held at 2 p.m. tomorrow, December 22, 1978, in the Lutheran Church of the Reformation, conducted by the Rev. Stafford L. Swing and the Rev. Jerald Peele. Burial will be in the Crescent Hill Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers will be Ralph Montgomery, Harvey Risinger, Morgan Sellers, William Sessions, George Taylor and J. H. Wishert.
Born in Blaney, he was a son of the late Edgar William Roberts and Ellie Irene Howell Roberts. He was a retired employee of the S. C. Department of Mental Health, a member of Reformation Lutheran Church, Eau Claire Masonic Lodge 344, the Alpha Lodge of Perfection and the Jamil Temple.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Blanche Byrd Roberts; a son, Richard B. Roberts; three brothers, Olzo Roberts, Leroy Roberts, and Brooks Roberts; three sisters, Annie Oblachinshi, Edna Outlaw and Eillian Roberts, all of Columbia; and a grandchild.
