1978

Mrs. G. C. Boatwright, 67, of 2506 Park St., died yesterday, August 6, 1978, in a local nursing home.

Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. tomorrow, August 8, 1978, in the Thompson Funeral Home, conducted by the Rev. George Hawkins. Burial will be in the Greenlawn Memorial Park.

Mrs. Boatwright, the former Mamie E. Bowen, a daughter of the late John Bowen and Rhoda Sanders Bowen.

She was a member of Park Street Pentecostal Holiness Church and was a retired sales clerk.

Surviving are son, T. O. Tarlton of Louisville, Ky., a daughter, Mrs. Nancy Thomas of August, Ga.; a brother, Walter E. Bowen of Columbia; two sisters, Mrs. Ben L. Ballemore of Maryland and Mrs. Ivy Breland of West Columbia; and three grandchildren.

The family will receive friends tonight from 7 to 9 at the funeral home.
