ELGIN – Miss Julie Elizabeth Turner became the bride of Billy Renwick Watkins at 7 p.m. Friday in Blaney Baptist Church. The Rev. James Salters officiated and a reception followed in the church fellowship hall.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Roddy G. Turner of Lugoff. She was graduated from Lugoff-Elgin High School and Preston College with a medical assistant degree.

The bridegroom is the son and step-son of Mr. and Mrs. Billy Dale Watkins of Lugoff and the son of Pat Holmes of Iran. He was graduated from Lugoff-Elgin High School and is employed by Carolina National Lease.

After a wedding trip to Santee, the couple will live at 1017 Eastmont Drive. Columbia.
